Now, I will provide some fun facts and my opinions on each member
JUNON was born on May 23, 1998
- He is the eldest of the group.
- It was announced he will join Vermuda, a Kpop group in South Korea as a new member. However, due to inactivity and other things, the group was disbanded after a month.
- His father was a former band member, and his sister called Remifa # is a singer-songwriter.
- The only member who hadn't receive any professional training prior to the audition.
- He played soccer for years in school.
Junon was the main reason why I got hooked to THE FIRST. At that time, I was just browsing and looking for a new Jpop song to add to my playlist then the YouTube algorithm happened. His vocal agility reminded me of Nissy of AAA when I heard his pre-hook in Be Free and some fans share my sentiments. Junon has a good quality voice, his vocal riffs are astonishing.
LEO was born on September 8, 1998.
- He was a former Avex trainee.
- Originally, he wanted to become a professional baseball player but aspired to become an artist instead, since he was saved by music.
It was tackled he had pitch issues, I think that was the reason why his vocals sounded breathy. I like his warm voice though, I like his visuals too. I thought Leo could be an actor in a Final Fantasy live-action film when I first saw his face.
RYOKI was born on April 26, 1999.
- He's an actor
- Fluent in English.
- He dances, sings, and raps too. He honed these abilities and has a YouTube channel to prove it.
There's no particular position as they are a bunch of all-rounders. But ever since the Creative Screening NEO segment, I knew Ryoki would be in charge of high tone rap
SOTA was born on January 18, 2001.
- He is a well-established choreographer and dancer.
- A fourth-time World Hip Hop Dance Champion and member of Kana-Boon! dance crew.
- His mother is a dance teacher.
- Appeared and choreographed Yurina Hirate's "Dance no Riyuu" MV.
- Conducted dance workshops in different countries.
There's a lot to say about him and the various artists he had worked with. Two things are certain of Sota: Choreography and low tone rap.
MANATO was born on April 29, 2001.
- He is a model and can play the guitar.
- Studied at EXPG Fukuoka.
- A former member of PROJECT TARO. Which all young qualified participants will study in New York to enhance their artistic abilities for three and a half years. Manato left before it ended.
He was a jack of all trades. I still can't get over with "No Cap Navy" Manato and anticipating for the group to release an R&B track in the future.
SHUNTO was born on September 1, 2003.
- He was an Avex trainee under a scholarship program
- Participated in a-genic PROJECT which was a previous survival program, along with fellow THE FIRST participant Ten.
- He studied at the same school as Ryuhei in Nagoya.
It's nice to see him smiling and show his playful side during performances. Honestly speaking, I overlooked him since I had my eyes set on other members at first. Once I paid attention to him, I realized how uniquely attractive Shunto's vocal tone is. Listening to Kick Start had proved my point.
RYUHEI was born on November 7, 2006.
- The youngest member.
- He was also an Avex trainee in Nagoya.
- Former member of a 6-member kids trainee idol group called CoCoPop.
- His female cousin Hiyajo Nagomi participated in a South Korean reality program known as Girls Planet 999
- Ando Rinka, his former fellow CoCoPop member also participated in the same show.
Still remember I had goosebumps when I heard his falsetto in Move On. At a very young age, Ryuhei's musical maturity is quite impressive. He wrote a song at the last minute, thus can create interpretative ideas. He studied which angles to work on while dancing. Stylish and enigmatic but he can be the cutest too.
